Hotel Maria Jose - Merida

The pool area provides an inviting spot for relaxation on a hot day, complementing a refreshing dip. The air conditioning unit offered remote control access, nice for personal temperature adjustments.

The breakfast options lack variety and the transition from a buffet to a menu with extra charges for sides like bacon or sausage was disappointing. The Standard Double Room felt cramped, with beds sized for Yucatán measurements which may not fit taller guests comfortably. Some shower issues caused water temperature fluctuations, and WiFi connectivity failed to deliver consistently .

Our stay was great, thoroughly enjoyed solid and great breakfasts.

The staff was absolutely wonderful, the accommodation was wonderful and fairly clean. Central location just next door to tourist attractions, restaurants, park and shopping, Centro and especially Santa Lucia Parque and de old centre of Merida, it was in a lovely area. We stayed for 1 night here, loved Centro de Merida district.

it had particularly good location a super close walk to parque hidalgo. the staff was incredible, offered wake up calls and ironing free of charge.

The excellent location made it easy to explore Merida.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There were hairs on the bathroom floor and crumbs on the bed upon arrival. The breakfast options were very limited, which seemed like a letdown considering the promising start to my stay. It was quite uncomfortable that a waitress at breakfast seemed to be eavesdropping on our conversations.

It was in a particularly good location with Merida English Library nearby.

Ask for extra water bottles upon check-in, as two daily may not suffice for your stay.

Loved Merida, the hotel was good small and well-designed next to a plaza that had live music most nights. For our vacation the location was favourable, very close to numerous restaurants, bars, parks & markets, centro, and the center of Merida. We stopped by Pola Gelato Shop for coffee and treats, it was within walking distance of the property.

Hotel Maria Jose provided an excellent experience with spacious accommodations, friendly staff, and a lovely pool area. The clean environment, and the 24-hour accessible parking was a significant plus. Breakfast was also good!

I had a great 2-night stay with a fantastic view from my King Room and loved the clean, refreshing pool, but the breakfast selection could be improved. I would definitely return!

the hotel offers a lovely courtyard with a pool and is only a short walk to the central Plaza Grande where you can soak in the local culture, and Mercado de Santiago is just a few steps away, giving you easy access to delicious local food and unique shopping experiences.

I had a great stopover at maria jose during my recent trip to merida. The location was perfect, just blocks from downtown. The pool area was so nice.
